Author Jake Wallis Simons joins Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss news that Britain has sanctioned Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich for alleged “repeated incitements of violence against Palestinian communities” in the occupied West Bank.
Both right-wing politicians have opposed allowing aid into Gaza and back resettling Palestinians outside of the Strip.
As a result, they will be banned from entering the UK and their assets in Britain will be frozen.” Israel furiously responded: “It is outrageous that elected representatives and members of the government are subjected to these kind of measures”.
Kevin says, “All we’ve done is alienate and infuriate our ally Israel, and also America.”
