Should Donald Trump win a Nobel Peace Prize? | LBC

After crediting the US President with brokering ceasefire negotiations between itself and India, Pakistan’s government has formally nominated Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Pakistan says Trump has received a nomination “in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis”.

But the nomination has drawn debate in Pakistan and further afield. Colin Parry OBE is a global award for World Peace recipient, and is the Co-Founder of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation – created after his son Tim was killed by an IRA bomb in Warrington in 1993.

He says Trump does not display “the actions of a peacemaker” and “does not use his power for good”.
