After the US bombed Iran, James Hanson is joined by Iranian-American security analyst Benham Ben Taleblu to dissect the implications of what he calls “nothing short of history being made.” Taleblu explains how the strike hit long-discussed nuclear sites like Natanz and Fordo, and argues that Iran’s ability to respond militarily is weakened: “The Israeli military successes... have neutered much of Iran's transnational terrorist apparatus.” He warns that Iran could still retaliate by targeting US bases or closing the Strait of Hormuz, a move that would “have a huge effect on the global economy” but could also “invite a wider aggression” and backfire on the regime.
